Ornela, born in Albania and raised in Greece, is a London based artist. After completing her MA in photography at UAL: London College of Communication in 2024, and while she enjoys taking portraits of artists and musicians in the studio, her practice has evolved more to sit on the border of photography. In the past year she has been focusing on her ‘manual pixel sorting’ method, where, by using the original data of her photographs, she abstracts them, ‘panting’ with pixels. Her latest project “Deconstruction” explores notions of outer space in relation to humans, more specifically, the main question she has been asking is “what would it mean to be human if we ever moved to another planet”.
