Deconstruction
‘Deconstruction’ is a project that questions how the notion of outer space, challenges our understanding of the term ‘human’. If, and when, we are able to move to other planets, we will undergo adaptational and evolutionary changes that will alter how we look, how we move, feel, and think. The term ‘human’ appears so deeply anchored to planet earth, that, once our earth is removed from the equation, ‘human’ stands naked and vulnerable. Through the method of moving pixels manually, we see the deconstruction and the reconstruction of the human into something that becomes non-representative and abstract – like outer space itself. This project is an invitation to discuss what will it mean to be human in the future and, inevitably, what does it mean to be human now.
